Move in wondrous ways. Learn the basic movements behind a beautiful, ancient art form in this 6-week course from Sara Merritt, an experienced belly dancer. Belly dancing is a great way to keep fit, reduce stress and have fun! Basic steps, technique and combinations will be taught. Open to ages 12 and up.

Botanical Zendoodle Workshop
Join artist and instructor Sara Merritt for a workshop exploring this meditative art form, with particular emphasis on botanical shapes and designs. We will do some quick, focused doodling in the Christina Reiman Butterfly Wing, and look closely at wing patterns and plant contours for inspiration.
STEAM program suitable for ages 10+. Registration with pre-payment is required by Thursday, November 6.
Tiny 2D Terrariums
Use botanicals from Reiman Gardens in a tiny work of hand-crafted art! In this workshop, we will carefully press and dry flowers and foliage, mount them to paper, and cut them into clever shapes to assemble into unique paper terrariums that make a perfect holiday gift or shadowbox treasure.
Pre-registration and payment required by October 27.
Zendoodle Workshop
Do you scribble patterns on notepads or junk mail? Does it relax you to doodle during class or in meetings? If so, you are already on your way to creating artful meditation. Whether you are new to this art form or you’ve been doing it for years, we will explore a few structured methods so you can begin creating beautiful patterns anytime, anywhere, to achieve relaxation and mindfulness, or as an entry point to a larger work of art.

Texture in Oil Painting
From sgraffito scra
tches to swaths of buttery color to mountainous ridges of paint, this workshop will explore different techniques for creating texture in oil paintings. We will also experiment with painting knives and impasto medium to create a variety of physical textures. Bring an image or idea to work with.
Basic experience painting with oils is required.
Supply fee includes a 12 x 16 stretched canvas, canvas paper, two painting knives and shared paint, modeling paste, oleopasto medium, turpentine, paper palette, and brushes.
Tuition covers class time as well as open studio time where you can work on your own (outside of class) for up to one week after your last meeting time.
